Profile of Mr. Jung In Kim – VIDAMCO’s General Director

Jung In Kim is General Director and CEO of GM Daewoo, Vietnam (VIDAMCO). He is in charge of all the operations of VIDAMCO with about 20 Sales Agents nationwide and 2 Direct Sales Units in the two major cities: Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.

Jung In began his career in Daewoo Group (South Korea) – Daewoo Corporation in 1976. At that time, he dealt with transactions related to export, import and distribution of all Daewoo products. Then in 1986, he was assigned to work abroad in Daewoo International America Corporation, New York Office. His assignment was to purchase and export auto parts and equipment mainly from GM subsidiaries.

Returning to Korea, he took position as Director of Daewoo Automobile Export Division and Foreign Investment to set up automobile sales companies in Hong Kong and Myanmar and direct the Sales and Marketing in Pacific Rim for passenger cars and commercial vehicles.

In 1997, he was Executive Director of Overseas Export, Investment and Development Division – Daewoo Corporation. He controlled investment development in overseas business, especially the setting up of joint ventures in China, Vietnam and Pakistan.

Since 1999, Jung In has served as General Director of Vietnam-Daewoo Motor Company (VIDAMCO) – the unique manufacturing unit of GM Daewoo beyond the boundary of South Korea.

He is a graduate of Sung Kyun Kwan University, majoring in Business Administration and with an MBA from the University of Hawaii, Manoa.
