MAINTENANCE POLICY
 

Vidamco Warranty policies

Vidamco Co., Ltd., hereinafter called the manufacturer, warrant to the owner of each Daewoo vehicle that the Daewoo vehicle shall be free, under normal use and maintenance, from any defects in workmanship, subject to the following terms and conditions.


1. Warranty period

This warranty shall carry out for a period of 02 year from the date of either delivery to the first retail purchaser or first use to the vehicle as a company car by distributor or dealer, or until the vehicle has been driven for a distance of 50,000km, whichever comes first. Warranty coverage is fully transferable to subsequent vehicle owners.


2. Items Covered by warranty

Except as provided in paragraph 3 hereof an authorized Daewoo dealer or distributor shall either repair or replace, at its option, any Daewoo genuine part that is detective in workmanship within the warranty period set forth in paragraph 1 hereof, without charge to the owner of Daewoo vehicle.


3. Items Not Covered by warranty

Although a vehicle is within the time and distance stipulated in the warranty, the following items are not covered by warranty except for defects in material or workmanship.

3.1 . Maintenance Service
Normal maintenance services such as, but not limited to, the following is not covered by warranty. Any failure resulting from a lack of maintenance is not covered by warranty.
- Fuel system cleaning.
- Wheel alignment and balancing.
- Engine tune-up.
- Brake inspection and adjustment
- Clutch system adjustment
- Replacement of consumable parts such as air cleaner element, spark plugs, injection nozzles, fuse, drive belt, bulb, brushes of alternator and starter, brake linings, rubber part (except engine mounting rubber), clutch disc, oil and any other filter element when such replacement are made as part of any normal maintenance service.

3.2 . Items Affected by Wear, Exposure, etc.
The repair or replacement of the following items resulting from normal use, neglect, accident, wear and exposure is not covered by warranty.
- Soft trim and interior trim
- Plated parts, bumpers and other appearance items
- Wiper blades
- Brake linings or brake pads, brake drums or discs
- Clutch disc
- Rubber materials such as hoses, belts and weather-strips

3.3. Environment Damage
Damage to a vehicle caused by industrial chemicals, acid rain, salt, sap, pollen, and, hair, windstorm, lighting, or other environmental conditions is not covered by warranty scale.

3.4. Damage due to Improper Use
Any damage or failures resulting from improper use such as the following items are not covered by warranty.
- Horn
- Battery
- Tire
- Handling and operation of the vehicle contrary to the instructions in the Owner’s Manual.
- Use of the vehicle in races, rallies and other competitive events.
- Use of improper or dirty fuel, oil or fluids.
- Lack of proper maintenance service.
- Over loading

3.5. Non-Genuine Part
- Any damage or any decline in vehicle performance and/or reliability resulting from the use of non-genuine or modified parts and is not covered by warranty.
- Any damage or any decline in vehicle performance and /or reliability resulting from the repair of non-Daewoo workshop is not covered by warranty.

3.6. Odometer Alteration
No coverage is provided to any vehicle in which the odometer mileage has been altered and the actual mileage cannot be readily determined.

3.7. Incidental Expense
Incidental expenses resulting from defects in material or workmanship of any part of vehicle are not covered by warranty. Such expenses include as follows:
- Telephone and telegraph expenses
- Vehicle rental charge
- Towing charge
- Travel, lodging or meals expenses
- Loss or damage to personal property
- Lost time, business and commercial loss
- Compensation for inconvenience to customers
